My first time-lapse. The Linux easy way

Maybe this will be the first post that will give some useful information 😉

When I saw a timelapse for the first time I was amazed, and I promised me that I’ll do it sometime.

What do you need to do a timelapse?

The first thing you need is a camera with an intervalometer (if your camera doesn’t have an intervalometer, you must have an external intervalometer). Luckily for me, I’ve a old Canon PowerShot G5 with integrated intervaometer.

The result of the time-lapse shot will be a set of jpg images. If you are using windows you must use any kind of video editing software, but with linux and the help on ffmpeg and mencoder you can create your time-lapse in no time and using only 1 or 2 console commands.
